The iPhone 6 launches on September 16th, but Apple has already given us what to expect with the iPhone 6. It comes in two flavors: the regular iPhone 6, which is already impressive, and the iPhone 6 Plus, the larger version of the base model. While other sites are talking about the big screen and the rise of mobile payments, nobody in the gambling space is talking about what this does for the business of gaming as we know it.

Gambling Just Got a Lot More Mobile

Mobile betting isn’t news, but if you’ve ever played at a mobile casino you already know that it isn’t without its flaws. Form loading issues all the way up to poor image quality, it can be really hard to get a good experience while you’re on the go. But dragging around a laptop computer isn’t really an option anymore. There are too many spaces where laptops get bumped or fall off tables. Protecting your laptop is easy when you leave it at home and just take your iPhone wherever you want to go. With an Otterbox on it, what could honestly happen?

The iPhone 6 is awesome because the screen is getting bigger, and the quality is definitely better. From the release photos, this is a phone that looks just as stylish as we expected. But what we really like is the idea of faster mobile payments. Being able to transfer money back and forth from the casino is really important. If you’re not going to be able to transfer money as you please, then mobile gaming is going to die a very painful death.

It will be interesting to see if casinos jump onto the iPhone 6 launch. This launch isn’t just going to be big in the Americas, of course. The iPhone 6 is going to be a hot item all over the world, with plenty of people being exposed to a quality smartphone for the first time. This can open the doors for casinos to attract people that would have never considered gambling for real money. But if you send the right mobile offers to people, who knows what they’re willing to do until you ask them?

What do you think? Will the iPhone 6 bring more people into mobile casinos, or is it just hype?
